To get six pack abs, all you need to do is workout the abs. — FALSE!!!
I used to think this, until I actually tried it. I even tried doing a lot of fast exercises to flatten the stomach but nothing ever happened. After a few months of getting nowhere I began searching online and asking everyone I knew for the best ab workouts to get defined six pack abs.
There was a lot of information on how to lose stomach fat but most of it was selling diet pills. Many “ab products” didn’t work for me and a lot of information was made no sense whatsoever. For instance, you can change the order of the workout, the amount of resistance, the volume of work (sets and reps), the rest periods, the rep speed, or even try a different angle of a certain workout for variety.
Finally, these are the exercises to never do:
1. Lying straight-legged leg raises (first 45° off of floor, one leg at a time or both)
2. Hanging leg raises with an arched back
3. Sit-ups with feet supported
4. Straight legged sit-ups
5. Any machine-based ab exercise
6. Any machine-based twisting exercise
7. Torso twists (they provide no resistance, nor burn many calories)
